For the time being, growth trends are expected to continue without disruption from changes at the federal level. GTM anticipates that large corporate customers will continue to implement near-term renewable targets and increasingly procure offsite projects in order to meet them. Offsite projects, which include virtual net metering, community solar, and wholesale solar, will comprise an unprecedented proportion of annual non-residential solar PV capacity this year. In particular, the flourishing community solar market will reach 410 MW this year. At the same time, onsite development is expected to return as the primary driver of development in the industry overall, with wholesale PPA demand picking up from the reduction prior to the ITC extension.
